Home stretch...
Well, I am now a week into my third trimester- this is where I think time will go really slow for me. Jaris and I are getting so anxious. Our little guy has dropped a little so I am carrying him low now, and I am starting to feel every little move he makes- the poor kid is starting to get so cramped in my tummy- it's hard to believe that he is about 2 1/2 pounds and 15 1/2 inches long now, and to think that he is going to get bigger. I stepped on the scale just yesterday and I am now at 10 pounds gained since the beginning of my pregnancy. I get uncomfortable every so often, but then I remember how good I have had it over the last six months and I don't complain.
I am still able to work, haven't been put on bed rest. I can still walk normal-no waddling. and I have had no health issues so far which is wonderful. I have been so blessed throughout all of it. I couldn't have asked for a better pregnancy my first time around.
I am still pretty much craving fruits and veggies, more fruit than veggies. And I have been wanting brownies and cookies a lot lately but Have been trying really hard not to give into those sugar cravings so much. I have been doing really good, it shouldn't be too hard to keep that up as this pregnancy comes to an end, and even after.
I have my next doctor appointment on Thursday- At that time I should find out if he will start seeing me every two weeks or go one more month before starting to set closer appoinments. I will also find out if I should continue my dance classes or trade in the classes for daily walks and stretches. It seems that every month I think that maybe I will stop dancing, but then the doctor appointment changes my mind. This time I think I will be stopping- I think I want to spend more time with my husband before the baby comes, we only have a few more months of just him and I, I think I should take advantage.
We went to central oregon last weekend, I was hoping to get some more nice pictures- but when we got there it was still under about six feet of snow and ice-really slick, so we didn't stay long. We did get a chance to get out of the house, spend some quality time together, and let the dogs play in the water. We also checked out belknap springs for the first time-just a quick drive through. I think we decided that we would want to try staying there the next time we just wanted to get away for a few days.
Jaris has been incredible, but then again he was pretty incredible before. He has been so helpful. And he has made me feel like I am still beautiful even though my body has changed so much. He has been helping out so much around the house, making it easier for me not to freak out about all the things that need to be done before the baby comes and all the things that will need to change. He is going to be a really great dad. I truly am lucky to have him.
Jaris' mom, Debbie, is throwing a baby shower for my sister-in-law, Amber, and I this coming week. It will be fun having a joint shower for our baby boy and her baby girl. I am really looking forward to it. The neilson family and others will be there and it will be a blast.
Well, anyway, I think that is about it for now- I should have more pictures to post soon so be sure to keep looking.

It has begun...
Well, I'm finally out of denial- MY TUMMY IS HUGE! I came to the realization last night when I was at dance class- I do extra stratle stretches while everyone else does situps-anyway I was stretching sideways to the mirror and I was wearing a zip up sweater, get this- MY BELLY STUCK OUT PAST THE SWEATER! I gasped, it was a terrible realization for me. I mean, I knew that I would get a big belly but I didn't think it would have been that big yet. needless to say after noticing that fact, then stepping on the scale this morning to find that I had gained another six pounds this last month- I was a little depressed today. I know I'm not fat, and overall I really shouldn't be so worried about my weight or the size of my belly. I eat a really good diet, have kept pretty good will power and am still exercising, so I really shouldn't feel bad, but I couldn't help myself- I have always prided myself on being in control of my weight and size- But I have to remember that the weight gain is healthy and that as long as I continue to do everything right, I really have nothing to worry about.
I had a check with my doctor today and he made me feel a lot better, He told me that I was doing everything right, I am extremely low risk for every possible complication there could be and at a perfectly good weight. That made me feel SO GOOD. My son is incredibly healthy, his heart beat was perfect-I couldn't ask for more.
It has been interesting trying to continue to my dance classes and good diet- in my current physical condition, it doesn't quite look right dancing right now, and I have really started craving the not so healthy foods-Brownies are a big weakness. But as long as I stay healthy, my son will be healthy, so with my doctor's good encouragement I will keep on doing what I've been doing. In fact he gave me some ideas on how I could be doing even better.
I still feel this basketball I am holding is getting bigger than I'd like, but I have to remember that it is almost all baby boy in there and he is perfect in every way. I am almost into my third trimester- homestretch to finally meeting the little guy face to face, and I am getting anxious beyond belief. This point must be the same for most expectant moms, that last three months is the hardest. To think that I am just starting this last stretch-I think that I am going to have to really occupy myself or I will go crazy waiting on this kid to be born.
He likes to snuggle I think, he's pretty quiet most days-seems to hang out on my right side a lot and I think he is finding the very bottom tip of my right rib a fun place to hang out. He has days wher he will kick hard all day, but most days he just has little kicks here and there.
I was in a training class for work Tuesday and Wednesday, and Wednesday he was kicking ALL day- Debbie has been trying so hard to feel him kick and has never been able to so it was fun for her to finally feel him when we were sitting next to each other in training. I was happy to see the look on her face.
It is really exciting to share the moments with family- It makes me really miss having my parents around- I think they would really enjoy feeling those little moments a lot. Hopefully they will get the chance before he is born.
So that's what's new for now, I will continue to keep everyone posted on how things are going.
HUGS TO EVERYONE!

Not much new since I blogged last, I read on a website that the baby is finally a pound in wieght now-and I can feel him moving A LOT. Last Friday he was kicking pretty hard all day it seemed, but today and yesterday he has been pretty quiet, might be because I have been really relaxed this weekend, he has been kicking quite a bit but not nearly as much as he was on Friday.
We have re-arranged his room some more. Poor Jaris has to move his hunting stuff to other parts of the house-mostly the garage. But our little guy will still have a fair share of antlers and outdoorsy things with all the teddy bear sports look (look at the bedding on the slide show to see what I am talking about). His room is really starting to come together. We did a few things to make it seem like there was more space- will be replacing the folding closet doors with a curtain and put the crib on the opposite wall it was on so then we were able to have more space for other things like the swing and we might actually have room for new stuff when we get it which will be nice. I am so excited that I am almost two-thirds of the way to meeting the little guy and introducing him to his new space.

Baby is kicking all the time. makes me happy. It seemed like he was playing with me last night, I would push or poke at my tummy then lay my hand on my tummy and he would push back.
It was kind of funny.
Jaris has felt him kick a few times too, he likes to hang out more on my right side than my left so thats where I usually feel him.
Still feel really good, I have had some "growing pains"-pulled a muscle when I rolled off the bed or got off the couch wrong so I hurt a little from that but the nurse said I will be fine.
I have had my last dance performance so am confining myself to simple stretches and cardio type movements for the most part during my dance class- will probably have to stop going all together in the last couple of months before the baby is born. Eventually the tummy will just get too big to get around.
I can't wait to hold the little guy, as you can see from his ultrasound photo, he will be absolutely adorable. He has his Dad's nose, and I think my little ears. He always has his hands by his face and ears and during our last ultrasound he just looked so peaceful, hopefully a good omen that he will be a happy and laid back baby.
Biggest cravings have been Fruits and Veggies. Been eating more meat- only cause I have to. And lots of water- been craving juice but my doctor said too much juice can cause my carbohydrate and sugar levels to go really high so I had to limit myself to one glass every couple of days- its water and milk the rest of the time. I also had to switch my bread and pasta intake for whole grains and wheat. seems to be working so far.
The doctor said I gained ten pounds in a month, true. But the way I think about it, I was 147 lbs in December at the beginning of this pregnancy, and I dropped 10 lbs in January and Febuary. now I way 147 lbs again. So does that mean that I gained ten lbs, or does it mean that I haven't gained anything during this pregnancy- hard to say. I know that I gained all my weight back fast so there is definately reason to watch what I eat cause I don't want to gain too much too fast like that again, but really- I just gained what I had lost before right? Oh well, it doesn't much matter as long as I am following doctors orders, right. I've been keeping track of myself so I can make sure I am not losing or gaining beyond what the doctor wants.
Anyway. Jaris and I are really excited. We have been making adjustments at home and can't wait to bring the beautiful baby boy home.
Jaris has become so helpful and sweet. I love it when he feels the baby move- makes us both really happy. He looks so cute, Jaris that is. We are truly living a dream right now.
Let the fun begin!!!
Now that we know we are having a boy, we are talking about names...
So far ones we like are:
Parker
Archer
Wyatt
Tanner (Jaris says no cause his cousin's son has the name)
Haiden (Jaris' idea, but I like Aiden)
I also heard the name Asher a few days ago which I thought was cute, but Jaris had no reaction to it.
We have been throwing so many names around, wanted to hear some names from others as well. Any thoughts

Wishes have been granted
So, I have had a few people tell me that I should be sharing more about my pregnancy and that this is the best place to do it-So here I am. This is the place that will completely dedicated to my journey of pregnancy and giving birth to my already adorable baby boy that is due in August this year. I can't wait to hold the little guy.I feel that I am already getting to know him with all his movements in my tummy-he is quite the slugger even now. He already has a routine I think too, which is nice but we will see how things continue.
Anywho, I still have much work to do- so bare with me as I get all this put together. Once I get caught up, I think it will be a nice thing to have.
Stay tuned!
Cheers!
